It's time!

I can't help but draw parallels in planting bulbs and sewing into this business.

My first bulbs are went in this week. I cover them up with soil and will patiently wait. I'll wait through the rain and through the snow. It'll seem like forever, but when the time and conditions are right, they'll bloom. The tulips and daffodils will be among the first flowers to bloom next year.

Similarly, the work I put into this endeavor will eventually pay off. Who knows how long I'll have to wait, but when the conditions are right, it'll be worth it. When the time is right, I'll reap what was sewn.

In a society obsessed with dopamine hits of instant gratification, this approach to life can be refreshing. Learning through experience that instant results aren't necessarily the best. Faith has to be cultivated, nurtured and grown. Like flower bulbs, worthwhile results take time. Beautiful things take time. Even if it's dull now, rest assured, good things really can grow in the dark.
